The Sticks & Stones: A Fresh Foundation

Back in 1989, Reebok blew up with their Pumps and Nike tried to take advantage of that popularity and create their own "Pump" shoe, the Air Pressure. It's 2010 and Nike designs the new Air PR1, a shoe inspired by the Air Pressure, that definitely clashes the generations with it's design. For the 2010 Holiday, the Air PR1 are given a simple colorway with solid and clean black body with red accents on one pair and blue accents on the other. The shoes feature a simple design with a leather upper and the signature Zoom Air bubble at the heel. The shoes will be available through NSW retailers like Atmos this season. More photos, after the jump...

DREW's Note: When I first check this out, I though these were a new design on Nike's popular RT1's but I was wrong. The background of this shoe is pretty crazy with the Reebok vs Nike in the early 90's. As for the shoes, the solid and clean look of these shoes definite catches my attention. I'll definitely keep my eye out for these.

As part of the infamous day known as "Black Friday", Nike Sportswear is releasing a limited edition jacket and shoe package. The package feature the famous Air Force 1's and NSW's Destroyer Varsity jacket. The black-on-black shoes were designed but NikeID Bespoke and was made with premium leather and materials with a stitching of the year the shoes were released in roman numerals. The varsity jacket features a black colorway with body of cashmere and leather with details that are related to the Air Force 1's from the varstiy number and the buttons on the chest. With 24 made, the package was available at the Nike Sportswear store at 21 Mercer in New York.  For more photos, check after the jump..

DREW's Note: I love me some clean varsity jackets and this jacket is too clean. I'm not a big fan of the Air Force 1's but the Destroyer jacket would be the main reason for me to get the package.

Since 2005, Laura and Ben and their brainchild, Meet Bernard, have been providing the masses with high quality menswear. The video feature above is the first visual ad from the UK retailer as it features their collection for the 2010 Fall/Winter season. The video shot by High Six Media and shot around Greenwich and East London. The video is a visual representation of Meet Bernard's aesthetic of youthfulness and style. Many of the pieces in the video are found at Meet Bernard's store.

DREW's Note: This is the first time I've heard about this retailer and with help from the video, I am beginning to become a fan.

As everyone is out getting their "Dark Twisted Fantasy" on, KanYe West and Jay-Z are hard at work for their collaboration album, Watch The Throne. Presumably, this Q-Tip produced track is off that album but nothing is official yet. The track also features La Roux singer, Elly Jackson. The release of the album is unknown at the moment but hopefully it's soon.

Oakley and SE Bikes join forces for a collaborative capsule collection. The collection will feature a pair of limited edition Oakley Frogskin sunglasses, a pair of SE x Oakley Factory Pilot gloves , a set of Oakley B1-B grips, and a SE P.K. Ripper Looptail bike. The collaboration was a long time in the making, Oakley was a originally a manufacture of BMX/MX grips before their became known for their sunglasses, and SE Bikes has a strong following in the BMX community. The special SE P.K. Ripper will feature Oakley's B1-B grips on the handlebars and come two colors, the Light Blue colorway featured above and a very limited edition Black-on-Black colorway (only 200 made). The collection is set for a early 2011 release and each piece of the collection is very limited.

DREW's Note: SE Bikes FTW! Though back in the day owning a Huffy was a cool thing, owning a SE put you in a different and exclusive crowd. This collaboration is dope because it celebrates both companies and their true history. To all my fixie friends, I told you BMXs are fresh. I'm bout to re-build my BMX, that's sitting downstairs. Ha!

Coming out of  Pittsburg, Mac Miller bring visuals for "Knock, Knock" off his popular K.I.D.S. mixtape. The video is a clash between the 50s and the present, a visual representation of the song that uses a 50s sample. While the track was done by ID Labs, the video was directed by Ian Wolfson of Rex Arrow Films. If you haven't got Mac Miller's mixtape yet, you can download it at datpiff.com.

DREW's Note: I guess Wiz Khalifa isn't the only one coming out of Pittsburg and Rostrum Records. I have only heard of Mac Miller this year and all I can say is "don't judge a book by it's cover". I recommend people to check out his mixtape...ASAP.

Being one of the premier streetwear brands out of Japan, visvim releases another unique piece to their collection. The ORION Tweed Jacket GORE-TEX 2L is part of visvim's 2010 Fall/Winter collection and it is definitely one of the stand-out pieces. The jacket features a body mostly made of Harris tweed that also include a 2-layer lining of GORE-TEX. The combination of the two will defnitely keep the wearer warm and dry from harsh weather during this Holiday season. The jacket also feature a Blue/Orange/White checkered colorway with small detailings from wooden buttons and leather lining at the chest pockets. The jacket will be available visvim retailers.

DREW's Note: I'm really loving the design of this jacket from the aesthetic design to the actual design of the body with the Harris tweed and the GORE-TEX material. visvim does it once again by combining style and functionality perfectly.

The Seattle-based outdoor brand Filson has released their Black Label brand for the Autumn collection. The difference between Filson's regular pieces and the Black Label pieces are the qualities and characteristics. The Black Label collection features 12 pieces all tailored with slimmer cuts and refined detailing and it is also Filson's first attempt at the use of the color Black. The collection features pieces like waxed denim jackets, waxed bomber jackets, vest, and wool jackets. The collection is now available through Filson's webstore, filson.com, and other selected Filson retailers like Barney's and Urban Outfitters. For more photos check after the jump...

DREW's Note: With over 100 years of history, Filson is still one of the top contenders in the outdoor fashion industry. The solid and clean look of this collection makes it more street fashion and less "Paul Bunyan". I am really diggin' this collection and this label in general. When I get that money rolling in, I'm definitely a new customer.
