DREW's Note: Penfield is a very dope brand and I've been following them and their amazing past collections for a good minute. Though their products are a but pricey, it's definitely a "bang for a buck" with pieces that are both functional and stylish.
Via: HypebeastOther than their 6" Boot, Timberland's Abington Hiker is their most popular and quite often imitated. For the 2010 Fall/Winter collection, the popular outdoor brand decided to release two new colorways and add the GORE-TEX technology to their Abington Hiker model. The hiker boots feature a suede upper, a leather padded ankle collar, a GORE-TEX lining with the model's signature bottom sole. The shoes are now available at selected retailers. The padded collar and the bottom sole definitely caught my eye when I first saw these models a while back with the Tan leather and Red hiker laces colorway.
 The latest single from N*E*R*D feature the luckly T.I. (not charged for recent drug charge) spitting a verse. The track features more of the classic Neptunes sound and less of the classic Alternative sound that N*E*R*D is known for. N*E*R*D's Nothing is set to be released on November 2nd. Via: éS EuropeIn late May 2010, the well-established skateshoe company éS took their skate team to Europe for a two-week tour known as "To Europe With Love" . éS was able to compile a collection of footage from that tour into two videos. The éS team visited cities like London, England; Bordeaux, France; and Bilbao, Spain. The video featured the team, that included skate pros like John Rattay, Kellen James, Bobby Worrest, and Mike Anderson, tearing it up throughout Europe's urban landscapes. Part one of the video is above while the part two and the full list of the éS team is after the jump... DREW's Note: The tour videos were shot beautifully. The clarity plus the European surroundings gives it an artsy feel to the videos. As for the team, they obviously ripped it. I mean how can you not rip it when you have skaters like Kellen James and Mike Anderson.
Via: Lykke LiAfter her popular hit album Youth Novels, Swedish singer Lykke Li returns with a new track from her latest EP titled Get Some/Paris Blue. The track "Get Some" has the unique sound that everyone loved from the last album and features Lykke's silky voice over heavy drums. Up above is the video for the side-A track that features psychedelic visuals with the songs lyrics. For the download of the track, check after the jump... DREW's Note: After I heard "Little Bit" last year, I became a fan of Lykke Li and this new track doesn't disappoint. Can't wait for what she'll bring in the future.
Via: HypebeastSince 1920, New Era has been creating headwear for the masses but their 59FIFTY Fitted Caps put them at the top for baseball cap standards and at the top they stayed. To celebrate their 90th anniversary, the brands Japanese HQ decided to come out with a varsity jacket. The jacket is made with wool and lamb skin and comes in two colors, Black and Navy/White. It also features the1920 and 2010 on the sleeves, while the chest features a varsity N patch with a text saying "Originators of the True Fitted". Jacket is now available through New Era Japan. DREW's Note: I never knew that New Era was a 90 year old company. I mean I knew that they been out for a while but damn, 90 years! Congrats to the brand. As for the jacket, its dope and I hope that New Era could bring their Japanese products on U.S. soil cause there will definitely be a line for products like these.
Via: HypebeastJapanese retailer nanamica has decided to change it up a bit with the materials they use for their brand products. For the new Field Jacket, they decided to mix conventional material with GORE-TEX. The jacket is made of wool mixed with the GORE-TEX technology making it breathable and protection from harsh weathers. Jacket is now available in two colors, Grey and Black, at nanamica webstore and their brick and mortar stores. DREW's Note: At first glance, I saw this as another wool jacket for the cold season but it was much more. I think what nanamica did is dope with the mixture of materials for better funtionality. I want this jacket now.
Via: HypebeastOnce again, OriginalFake links up with the famous Levi's for two new pairs of jeans. Using the 502 model, the jeans are available in Rigid Blue or Stoned-washed Blue with the back pockets emphasizing the collaboration with the KAWS' X stitched on the left pocket with the classic Levi's stitching on the right. Another small detail is the Levi's tag that include the KAWS' teeth attached to it. The jeans are now available through Levi's Japanese webstore. More photos after the jump... DREW's Note: The jeans are kept simple with small details and I like 'em. Even though it is a collaboration, OriginalFake stays true to Levi's classic design and there it NOTHING wrong with that.
Via: HypebeastJapanese menswear manufacture mastermind JAPAN links up with Citizen, the world famous watchmaker, for a collaborative effort. The limited edtion watch features a photovolatic (solar-powered) eco-drive, a dual spherical sapphire glass, water resistant, radio reception function during the day (helps it set the time itself), and black dials. The most unique thing on this watch is the mastermind skull and bones which is found on the face and the strap. The watch is very limited with only 80 made and with a price tag that is almost $5,000 USD. DREW's Note: I've also loved metal watches, it just has a more sophisticated and clean look. Not that I hate the G-Shock watches, it's just that I would rather have a watch like this. A very dope collaboration, a very dope watch.
Via: KanYe's VEVOAs a way to promote My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, KanYe West and Hype Williams link up to create a 35-minute short film based on the album and KanYe's mind thought on today's social issues. The video premiered The video features song samples from Ye's album and has very little dialog. Despite the complex visuals and little dialog, the message that KanYe is trying to depict is very clear. The concept revolves around KanYe and Pheonix, played by Victoria Secret Model Selita Ebanks, who crashes into Earth and KanYe tries to help adapt to life on Earth. KanYe touches on topics like the influence of media, racism, love, and acceptance. For an interesting take on the video, check out Untitled Hype. It's reminiscent of Michael Jackson's Moonwalker where MJ also touched on social topics though visuals and his music. Kanye and Hype did an amazing job on the video and Selita Ebanks is HOT! Can't believe she went out with Nick Cannon. Ha!
